Our Work in Bharuch, Gujarat
Munshi Trust UK (MTUK) has been a lifeline of support to the people of Bharuch, Gujarat. Through its support to the Munshi Manubarwala Memorial Charitable Trust, Valli Charitable Trust, and Progressive Muslim Education Trust, MTUK has helped shape one of the largest community-driven educational networks in the region — built on hope, opportunity, and the belief that every child deserves a fair chance.
This journey of transformation spans across many areas of life.
For decades, by the Grace of Almighty Allah (SWT) and the generosity of our donors and well-wishers, MTUK has educated children from humble and deserving backgrounds — many of whom were once zakat beneficiaries and, by Allah’s (SWT) mercy, have become zakat givers: responsible citizens, professionals, and contributors to society.
Educational Services
- Currently, 7,463 students benefit from educational programmes, and to date, more than 45,525 students have been educated across various initiatives.
- Approximately ₹8 Crores are provided annually to MMMCT & VCT to subsidise student fees and offer additional fee waivers to beneficiaries.
- 5,718+ underprivileged children across 10 slum areas have received free educational support under the SLUM AREA BALWADIS project, with 475 children currently enrolled.
- 4,492 girls and women have completed vocational courses, with 241 currently enrolled, enabling empowerment through affordable skills training.
- 1,200+ students from MMMCT Schools & Gifted 30 secured merit-based admissions, including 354 in medical, 377 in paramedical, 449 in engineering, and 23 in prestigious IIT/NIT institutions.
- 645 girls from VCT Schools secured merit-based admissions, including 141 in medical, 280 in paramedical, 5 in engineering, and 224 in science graduation colleges.
- From Haji Ahmed Munshi Industrial Training Institute, 1,650+ students were placed in industries, 1,142 secured private sector jobs, 154 became self-employed, and 307 gained employment abroad.
- 817 Munshi B.Ed College students became teachers, while VCT College produced 475 commerce graduates, 368 arts graduates, and 5 university gold medallists.
Medical Services
- COVID-19 Vaccination Programme in association with Bharuch Nagar Palika.
- Distribution of free medical kits during the COVID-19 pandemic in Bharuch.
- Financial assistance provided for medical treatment to underprivileged patients.
- Free health check-up camps at Munshi Vidhyadham in collaboration with Apex Multispecialty Hospital & Trauma Centre, Bharuch.
Social Services
- Over 1 Lakh beneficiary families supported through social initiatives including Ramadan Food Kit Distribution in partnership with ISSA Foundation UK.
- Development of toilet blocks and bathrooms at Muhammedpura Circle, Bharuch, in collaboration with Rotary Club of Bharuch.
- Construction of Bus Stand and Public R.O. Drinking Water Facility at Muhammedpura Circle, Bharuch.
- Development of Public Green (Open) Gym and Public R.O. Drinking Water Facility at Suhel Park Society, Bharuch.
